Overview

This course equips delegates with knowledge and skills required to perform third party audit of Food Safety Management Systems against ISO 22000:2005, in accordance with audit methodology of ISO 19011. This acquired skill may also be utilized for first and second party Audits.
Students who successfully complete this course will satisfy the training requirements for initial Registration as NBQP auditor.

Learning Objectives:
  • Realize the business benefits of an improvement based FSMS
  • Understand and apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act approach
  • Consider the principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment and management of food risks in the context of an FSMS audit using the HACCP model
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and Audit Team Leaders.
  • Plan, prepare and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
  • Look for conformance, Report the audit findings, including writing a valid, factual and value adding non-conformity report, if found
  • Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.
Pre-requisite to attend this course:
  • Participants shall have adequate knowledge of ISO 22000:2005 Standard and some prior knowledge of FSMS auditing.
  • No prior knowledge as above may lead to unsuccessful completion of this course and the gaps in this
    knowledge may not be covered during this course.
